When will it happen?

An embarrassing thing could have just happened to me! I wrote all this out and then posted it on our ward recipe blog! AHHH! People would have been looking for a recipe and would have heard all about my labor woes! Good thing I was glancing off to the side of the blog after it put up my new post, and I read... cookies, breakfast, dinner, etc. I was like, what?! This isn't my blog!? Caught myself though... here is what I wrote:
Well, I'm on my last week here... hopefully. Saturday is my due date, and I'm feeling anxious for it to all just happen. I want to be done waiting, I want to have this little baby in my arms! I want to be able to bend at the waist, and I want to start running again! I can't wait to show Kenadi her little sister and have her as my little helper. So many things.... Of course, I do like the "uninterrupted" sleep I get now. Well, if uninterrupted doesn't count the 3 times I get up to go to the bathroom at night, and the 1 or 2 I take Kenadi. I also don't mind just getting 1 child in and out of the car when I go places, but that will all end soon!
I have some decisions to make, too. First of all, I want to give birth naturally. No epidural, no drugs, etc. I think I can do it, because I've been preparing mentally, and I mostly did it with Kenadi. Second, I don't want to go overdue.... I hate waiting! Third, my doctor offered to induce me on Friday the 26th, and I chickened out and said, no, and THEN they set me up to be induced this Friday, Oct. 3rd ( both times I think they thought that I wanted it, but I never asked for it either time. I do like my DR, but this is a little added stress) and when I found that out, I said okay, because I was sick of being pregnant, and I thought I wanted it then. Well, I don't really know what I want. I'm afraid of being induced because of the stories I've heard of how petosin amplifies your contractions, and I don't want to do it because I want to go natural. The doctor said that many people get induced and have the baby without pain control... However, is it considered natural if you use a drug to get the labor going? It doesn't sound like it to me. Next option is... a balloon thing that dilates your cervix. It is drug-free, and sounds much better. Is this too much info? Sorry. Anyways, I don't know! I am really leaning toward just saying, no, no, no... just let her come. So, I guess we'll see what happens.

I am thankful for...

  • Randy, who when he got home had a honey-do list waiting for him, and he never complained once. He did it all, and made me so happy.
  • Kenadi, who would rather listen to childrens primary songs than my punk music I tried to put on today. I love the spirit she brings into our home.
  • The scriptures, and that Kenadi is interested in them. We started making sure that we read as a family every night before Kenadi goes to bed, and I love that time. She even listens and asks questions! Before now, we would always read them as a couple, and I'd try to read a little to Kenadi in the day, but this is nice, as a family. The scriptures teach us so much, and also bring a good feeling to finish our day with.
  • "I love you Mommy! I love you Daddy!" she finally says it back to us, without me prompting her!
  • Health.
  • FALL! I love the fall! I love October (my birthday month), pumpkins, pumpkin food (anything with pumpkin in it is divine), cooler weather (Oklahoma has the best fall weather), and the colors. I love the feeling of fall. I love that it is the beginning of the holiday season, I just love it! Oh, and I love Halloween, and dressing up, and watching Kenadi dress up, and making Randy dress up. I love that I have decorations for my house and it is so festive. I could go on and on. Here's a picture of last year's Halloween, and one of Kenadi this year. I had her try on a couple of costumes so we can plan what she'll be.
She was our little cowgirl... I love that baby face! We are plates of spaghetti, with meatballs. I don't see why Randy doesn't enjoy it more.
Now, what should she be this year? Normally I would like to make her costumes, but she had these already, and it will be cute anyway. A lady bug, or a unicorn?
  • I am thankful for the rain. I know that this picture is blurry, but it's an action shot, and I liked it. It makes me happy when kids get dirty outside. I think it's natural.
  • Church, and nursery. I love that Kenadi loves it.
  • Cake batter, and licking the bowl. I have passed this trait onto my daughter. Lucky girl. Oh, and I also am thankful for the middle piece of the cake, or whatever. I like middle pieces.
  • Naps
  • Family
  • Friends
  • I could go on and on... I am blessed, and so happy!

Less than 3 Weeks!

We are getting really excited to greet our new little baby! My due date is coming up soon! Hopefully we don't have to wait past the due date, but I guess anything is possible. We have been diligently getting the room and house ready for our new addition. Kenadi is using the bassinet for her doggy and she wheels him around taking such good care of him. I think she thinks it's her new toy.
Anyways, I have a few cute pictures of Kenadi lately, and thought I'd share.

Kenadi thinks she is a big girl, and as soon as I get my makeup bag out, she comes running. (I don't know why my bag is so big, it houses a lot of things, and I think I use 2 items out of it regularly, and on special occasions, 4) She gets up on her stool and goes through my bag opening everything she can, and putting on all that I'll let her.

I will let her use this sparkly eyeshadow thing because it seems harmless. Sometimes I wonder if this is doing damage to my toddler because I saw this thing on Oprah where these moms had these super-obsessed girls who thought they were ugly unless they had makeup on. Hopefully a little play is okay. See all those pretty sparkles?
Kenadi loves to play with Randy. He is so good with her. I really lucked out on him. Those things on his face are all of the stickers off a sheet of stickers we let her have. They all ended up on Daddy's face in a pile. Aren't they cute?
This one does worry me a bit. She is REALLY good at fake talking on cell phones. This one is a toy that someone gave her in our ward. She holds full "half" conversations on them. It sounds like this..."oh, yea? Uh huh... (laugh) yea, it's weally hot..." etc. It is funny. If we are in the car sometimes I think she's talking to me, but she's just on the phone. What I am worried about is how she will be when she's a teenager. Between the phone, the chapstick (she's obsessed), and my makeup, I think I should be a little worried.
