I am thankful for...

  • Randy, who when he got home had a honey-do list waiting for him, and he never complained once. He did it all, and made me so happy.
  • Kenadi, who would rather listen to childrens primary songs than my punk music I tried to put on today. I love the spirit she brings into our home.
  • The scriptures, and that Kenadi is interested in them. We started making sure that we read as a family every night before Kenadi goes to bed, and I love that time. She even listens and asks questions! Before now, we would always read them as a couple, and I'd try to read a little to Kenadi in the day, but this is nice, as a family. The scriptures teach us so much, and also bring a good feeling to finish our day with.
  • "I love you Mommy! I love you Daddy!" she finally says it back to us, without me prompting her!
  • Health.
  • FALL! I love the fall! I love October (my birthday month), pumpkins, pumpkin food (anything with pumpkin in it is divine), cooler weather (Oklahoma has the best fall weather), and the colors. I love the feeling of fall. I love that it is the beginning of the holiday season, I just love it! Oh, and I love Halloween, and dressing up, and watching Kenadi dress up, and making Randy dress up. I love that I have decorations for my house and it is so festive. I could go on and on. Here's a picture of last year's Halloween, and one of Kenadi this year. I had her try on a couple of costumes so we can plan what she'll be.
She was our little cowgirl... I love that baby face! We are plates of spaghetti, with meatballs. I don't see why Randy doesn't enjoy it more.
Now, what should she be this year? Normally I would like to make her costumes, but she had these already, and it will be cute anyway. A lady bug, or a unicorn?
  • I am thankful for the rain. I know that this picture is blurry, but it's an action shot, and I liked it. It makes me happy when kids get dirty outside. I think it's natural.
  • Church, and nursery. I love that Kenadi loves it.
  • Cake batter, and licking the bowl. I have passed this trait onto my daughter. Lucky girl. Oh, and I also am thankful for the middle piece of the cake, or whatever. I like middle pieces.
  • Naps
  • Family
  • Friends
  • I could go on and on... I am blessed, and so happy!

I too believe fall is wonderful. I love that it is the start to the holiday season and love that I can start wearing sweatshirts and jeans...my favorite clothing.

Thank you for helping me remember what I have been blessed with in my life too. It is good to be reminded, it is way to easy to be a pesimist!

love this post, Tara. and LOVE the music! I remember a time when the girls were much younger. we had gone through a very (literally) dry spell. it started raining late one night. the girls and i went outside and danced in the rain in the middle of the empty street. it is one of our favorite memories. thanks for that pic. it tugs at my own memory, makes me smile and warms my heart.
