Papa and some Mya pictures

I think we've enjoyed the last of our visitors for a while.  Randy's Dad came to visit us for about 4 days and once again we had a blast!  The weather was hot- 93 deg. here, and 97 down in the Wichita Mtns.
We decided to enjoy some of the beauties of Oklahoma and share them with Randy's Dad.  We had a great time looking around at nature.  Of course, Randy was so happy to be with his Dad.

Ok, so these are random, but it's taking me so long to post this that I'm not going to organize it.  Here are some pictures of Mya and Kenadi.  Kenadi and Emma LOVE Mya, and sometimes Mya feels a little too loved, poor girl.
Our little sweetie.  Mya goes in for surgery this Tuesday (the 19th) to have a lump taken off of her neck. It is a lymphangioma- which is lymph vessels that are filling up with fluid and not draining.  So, basically a fluid filled cyst.  Of course we are nervous for the surgery because it means another day of not feeding the baby for 6 or more hours before surgery (we've done this before for an MRI), staying at the hospital for a night and a grumpy baby when she comes out of anesthesia.  The surgery itself is not supposed to be risky or difficult, but I still worry.  I just hope everything goes smoothly and that it is as easy and non-risky as they say.   I will be so glad when it's over.  Please pray for her.
She is such a happy baby.  She smiles a lot and still loves to eat.  She has the cutest most addicting laugh.

We still enjoy sleeping with her on us.  She is a little cuddle bug, and the great thing is that she will actually sleep that way!  She'll sleep when I lay her down too.  I just really feel like I've been able to enjoy her because she sleeps so well anywhere.

Ok, back to some  more things we did with "Papa".  That is what Kenadi and Emma call him.  We went to the wonderful zoo here.  In this picture Emma is looking at the Coi pond there.
I decided to sit down while the girls where playing in the stream at the zoo and nurse Mya.  This is what I looked like.  I had the best nursing experience ever!  I had about 3 or 4 people come up to me and tell me that they just thought it was so wonderful that I was nursing my baby.  Stuff like, "you are a good mother to take time out with your baby.  What a special moment".  and "Ma'am, I assume you are nursing.  That is so great.  Anyone who thinks otherwise can ____".  Wow, thanks people.  You just made my day, and I was just taking care of her.  Randy caught me in the moment and photographed me telling him about all the people who stopped.  I was happy.
I just thought it was so cute how Kenadi and Emma would take Papa's hand and walk with him all over.
I think he enjoyed it.
Randy, his Dad, and our clowns.

Story time

We watched a few movies.  Can you see Emma's balloon in the light?

Thank you for visiting Dad!  We love and miss you!

Grandma and Grandpa Jensen and Mya's Blessing

Well, I've had this one in the making for a while now... I just take forever to finish things! Sorry.  Anyways, a wonderful thing about having a new baby is that we get lots of visits from family.  We were so happy to have Randy's mom and step dad visit- Grandma and Grandpa Jensen.  It was so so nice to have them visit, but it was waaaay to short of a visit.  They came on a Friday and left on a Monday (it was Mya's baby blessing that Sunday).  We still loved the short time that they were here.
I think that this photo is so sweet because it shows how content and happy they both are.
Here's us trying to get ready for a family picture on Sunday after Mya's blessing.  It was also the same Sunday that Randy was leaving to go to Puerto Rico for a week.  It was kind of a rushed day, but Mya's blessing was wonderful and she was such a good baby in church.
I think I was talking here...
There!  I think we got it!  Oh, wait- Emma refused to put her hands down and look happy.  Oh well.  That's as good as it got that day.
These are some sweet booties that my mom made for Mya's blessing.  They are beautiful!  She just whipped them out in a couple of evenings while she was here.
Our sweet Mya.  She got weighed today and she weighs 12 lbs 15 oz already!  She just turned 2 months this week.  90th percentile for weight, 75th for height.  I never thought I'd hear that for one of my children!
Mya and Grandma Jensen.  She loves her grandchildren!

This was cute.  One morning I made muffins and Emma was eating hers at the table, but when she saw Grandpa sitting on the floor, she moved over by him and ate her muffin next to him.  He was her buddy.
We miss our family!  Anyone else want to come visit?  We are actually getting Randy's dad in about a week.  We are excited for that, but I hate the feeling of when it's all over and we don't know when we'll see family again.  That's when I get lonely.  Thank you for visiting us Mom and John!

And the Winner is...

Ok, so it's not fair to ask you all to decide who looks more like who- and THEN we don't tell you, so I'm going to tell you what we think.  It is... Mya and Kenadi.  I know, the angle didn't help you at all.  But, really, Mya and Kenadi look a lot alike, minus the extra chins on Mya.

We were so lucky to have my sister Haley and her husband Nick, with Sadie their 1-year-old come visit us.  They came right after I had Mya.  Kenadi and Emma had so much fun bonding with their little cousin.

Randy got to stay home and help with the baby.  We love having him home.

Of course, there were a few late night games.  I lost terribly, so I'm sure they were all cheating.  This is my sweet sister.  I miss her tons!

While Haley and Nick were visiting, Kenadi asked me if she could put on some of my makeup.  I said yes, and this is what she came up with.  She really thought it was beautiful and I had a hard time not laughing each time I looked at her.  I hope this isn't an interpretation of what she thinks I look like when I wear makeup.
I liked these pictures of Haley and just wanted to share.  She is my sister who is just younger than me.

Yes, I notice Nicks inappropriate placement of his hand, but this was the best picture we got.  Thanks a lot Nick.

Grandpa Simonson

We got a visit from Grandpa Simonson 2 weeks ago. He came to see all of us, but especially Emma since he hadn't seen her yet. I loved having my dad in town. He is such a good grandpa, and we love him!
Don't they look alike? After going to church on Sunday, I had about 3 people come up to me and tell me how much Emma looks like my dad.

We did all the regular things, like the memorial,

the Cowboy Museum (one of my favorite places), and the zoo, pops, drive around, etc. We just visited and had fun.

While we did all this, Emma took full advantage of her toys and sucked on them.

More of us at the cowboy museum. Every time I said, "say cheese!" Kenadi would jump up in her saddle. I don't know why, but it was cute. I also caught my dad trying to get on one of the life size horse models there. He denies it, but it's true. His leg was up in the air and everything.
In the cowboy museum there is a cowboy town, and it includes a bunch of stuff, but a church, a jail, and a train station are just a few attractions. I took advantage and preached to my family.
Kenadi likes to sit in the jail, and then she asks, "Am I in time out?"

We enjoyed a room in 3D. I mostly enjoyed taking pictures of everyone.

They are so much alike.

The zoo. It was 86 that day. So nice! We went to the zoo today too, and it was 83. I'm burnt even though I used sunscreen. I LOVE our springs here.

Grandpa brought Kenadi a butterfly dress-up outfit. She put it on and promptly posed. She is into role play now. I love that she's into dressing up.
