What a Crazy Trip!

You might wonder how our trip went, and lets just say that it was pretty eventful! We had a blast (most of the time)! The trip down to Cancun was uneventful, I made it on the plane fine, to our hotel and checked in with no problems! I was a little worried that we'd get to Cancun and that they wouldn't honor our reservation for the hotel or something. There was nothing to worry about, they even made us VIP guests! Our room was gorgeous. Something that only the wealthy can afford, I'm sure. Well, I'm used to Motel 8, so this was luxury compared to that. They even turned down our sheets at night and left us these cute little cards with chocolate!
We enjoyed WONDERFUL drinks, and buffets. Everything was all inclusive, and there was 24-hour snacks in the lounge right next to our room. However, the 24-hour snacks were usually things like a big leg of pork, caviar, sardines, sushi, and stuff that I don't really like to eat. There were some delicious cheeses (which I LOVED because I want to be a cheese connoisseur some day) and, of course , unlimited alcohol for everyone who drinks. Our room was stalked full of alcohol too. I think Cancun is more for people who party and drink. Everyone asked me if I needed a drink for the baby, and if we had been to the most popular clubs yet. They even looked confused when I turned down their drinks. Kinda sad, I thought. But, I did enjoy virgin margaritas. The mango and peach ones were my favorite, Randy's too. They were good!

Our morning of room service. It was nice!Do you notice how runny those eggs are? There is something about raw eggs down there. Even their scrambled eggs were runny. You can tell in this picture that the whites are clear and runny on top, and the yolks are just like they came from the shell. Yuck! I'm a well-done kinda girl.
Randy likes to attack his food. I think he must have been starving or something.

We got to go to the open market and bargain for some gifts... I can't say that I have fun doing that because I have no idea what things are worth there. Plus, they are really good at trying to get you to buy things you will never use or need. We got to see some Mayan ruins. That was cool! There were iguanas everywhere, so you had to look where you sat or walked.
So you get a general idea, this guy's over 2 ft long.

This was a temple, with an altar in the middle.
Randy decided that this was the bathroom, and he even brought reading material!I decided that this must have been one of the kids' rooms. It was actually a room off the back of a political building.
You can't forget the beach! Oh, it was wonderful!
Part of the view from the hotel.I like my feet with sand on them.
Beautiful!
One of the pools. This one was the party pool.
Well, I have a few stories to tell, one including a couple of bathrobes, and the other including our trip home. I will have to save those for a post tomorrow or something. Right now I'm sick, and this is way more than I planned on doing tonight. I'm going to bed!

Hey, Tara!!! Your freckles are really coming out of their shell! Cute!! I'm jealous of your trip, except for the plane part. I kind of wish that they would have arrested Randy. That would make for a great blog. (And I'm sure you would be snapping pictures of him through the entire ordeal to chronicle it.) Didn't you try making your angry horse noise at the airline attendants, or is that was caused them to threaten to call the police? Well, anyhow. I'm glad you are not stuck in Mexico. That would have been scary. You guys are so cute. Tell Randy hi.

Love,

Ash

P.S. Russell's name has to l's at the end.
