I Love to See the Temple...

For our last family home evening we took Kenadi to see the Oklahoma City Temple. We are so lucky to have the temple only about 20 minutes away from our house. Kenadi loves the primary song "I Love to See the Temple" and wants me to sing it to her a lot, so I thought it would be nice for her to actually see it up close. She was so cute. Randy told her that this is Jesus' house, and so Kenadi would say, "I want to go in there. I want to see Jesus!" It was a wonderful walk around the grounds, and a beautiful night. We felt so good being there as a family. I loved it. I also loved that Kenadi wanted to be there, and go in, and learn more about it. We told her that it is a special place, and because of the blessings of the temple, we can be together as a family forever. Isn't that wonderful?! I love knowing that. Now she asks to "go to Jesus' house" just about every day. Randy and I decided when Kenadi is 12 and can go into the temple (same with all of our kids) we want to do regular family temple trips. That would be so neat.

You guys are the cutest! What great parents! It was a good reminder for me that we need to take our kids again. It has been too long!

The pure innocences of Kenadi and little children always just amazes me. I love reading about you guys... I feel like I'm learning how to be a great parent! I'm definitely going to have to remember the whole FHE temple trip! What a great idea!
