Another Ultrasound

I had to get a second ultrasound today because of my hypothyroidism. They just wanted to check up on her and make sure that everything is okay. I guess that hypothyroidism can cause low birth weight babies. Well, we don't have to worry about that! They actually said that she is weighing big... 4 1/2 lbs already! I am worried about having a 10-lb baby now. I have a few good reasons for this... I think babies gain a 1/2 a lb every week for the last couple months (maybe that's just an exaggeration, but I really think that is true. Correct me on this if I'm wrong please, it would make me feel better), and because Randy was 10 lbs 2 oz when he was born! Can you believe it?! I'm just not made for that, sorry folks. I decided that she's coming early if she really is that big. Of course, I do want her to go full term, but I'd like to live through delivery. Also, she has a lot of hair already! You can see it in the face shot picture. Anyways, I thought these pictures were cute... look at those chubby cheeks! (so, maybe all that ice cream I've been eating really IS going to the baby and not my hips!)

LOL. CUTE!! But the good news is that two of my "pregnancy books" say that babies can gain up to 1/2 a pound during the very last weeks (if I remember right). I was worried about a big baby, too. I'll look it up again tonight, but I don't think you have to worry too much.

What a cool sneak-peak at that baby girl! Not fair! My ultrasound looks like an alien. Sometimes I wonder.....anyway, I'm not even convinced ours is a girl yet. I need real proof!

Those 3d ultrasounds are cool. I got one with my first, but not my second. She's definitely cute already. And I say eat the ice cream anyway!
