Capturing Kenadi's smile has been difficult lately. She knows when the camera is on her and then takes off. I loved this one.
There is nothing more attractive than a man hauling a box of diapers on his bike. Randy now rides to and from school looking like this. No, it was only 2 days that he hauled baby stuff, but still. I wonder what people thought when they saw him.
My wonderful mom came to visit and help me with our larger family. We had so much fun with her when she was here. Not only did she spoil me and save me from a week of chores and cooking, we saw some new things. If you live in Oklahoma, I suggest you do a day trip and go to Cache where Quanah Parker's house and history lie. I don't know if I've mentioned this story here, but here goes: My great grandma was born in Cache, OK. Her family lived by Quanah and his wives in their house (called the star house because it has stars on it's roof). Quanah sent some of his wives over to see my grandma when she was born. Her mom wouldn't let the wives hold her because they offered to buy my great grandma and her mom said no. She was afraid that if she let them hold her they would steal her. They didn't of course, they were very nice and told my great great grandma that she had a beautiful baby.
So, since we have a bit of history here, I took my mom to see where her grandma was born. It was so interesting.
There was so much to say about this house and the surrounding area- our guide was very knowledgeable and interesting. I wish I had tons of room to tell it all to you.
Can you see that thing in the brush and trees back there? It is an old roller coaster. That is it below. This place is freaky. I could never go there at night. Anyways, some guy got into saving old buildings and having them moved to his property, that is why he has the Star House. He thought it'd be neat to make an amusement park out of the place- and so he did. However, one day he was on the roller coaster servicing it and he fell off and died. The place lost their insurance because of it and never operated.
I bet you this place is haunted.
Moving on to happier things- I am really enjoying this sweet baby. She is such a doll, and so good. She is really a pretty happy thing- unless I eat spaghetti which is one of my favorite foods. Boo.
Emma likes to pretend to be baby Mya. Here mom and I are holding our babies.
We all had so much fun with Grandma. The girls loved having her around and Emma still says things like, "Bama- wake up?" Like "can I wake up grandma?"
We had some crazy storms right before my mom came and then one while she was here. We were all stir crazy for a couple of days. So, my mom decided to shovel the driveway when it was 5 degrees outside, and Randy decided to ride his bike. Yea, he only made it down the street and came home.
My mom and I did a couple of crafts while she was here. I actually finished it too. We made a Valentines heart wreath. I'll have to post it later. It turned out cute.
Of course the girls brought Grandma a pile of books to read one night. It just happened to be that Grandma read them "The Monster at the End of This Book" starring Grover. Well, it is a great book, but never has been a bed time story. Emma was up until 10:30 that night because she was scared of monsters.
Baby Mya- wait! That's Emma!
This picture makes Mya look huge on little Kenadi. Kenadi always wants to hold Mya like this.

Thank you for the new post Tara! I check daily for a new one and I was happy to see this one. It sounds like you had a great time with your mom. I am looking so forward to coming back there, I can hardly wait. I just wish we would be there longer, but I guess that just means I will have to come and see you guys again soon!!! :) Your pics as usual are adorable.
The monster at the end of this book is one of our favorites here! You're so lucky to have your mom come out! It looks like you had a wonderful time. The family looks great too!
Makes my heart melt looking at all the sweet photos...I love the huggies in the bike basket.
