Camping, and Random Things

We decided to go camping a couple of weeks ago... it was fun! Kenadi had a hard time with going to sleep at night, and with running off. Other than that it was good. It was pretty hot though. Its been in the 90s for the last month already, and the nights don't cool off here. So, we sweat the whole time and brought our sleeping bags to sleep on top of. The stupid thing about camping in Oklahoma is that there aren't any places to camp without paying-that we know of, and you aren't exactly in the woods by yourselves. You have other neighbor campers. There was also no real river or lake to swim in here, just a pool at 4$ a person. Expensive! But the place was pretty. It's called Red Rock canyon and it looks more like a valley, but it was a nice change of scenery. It did have a lot of mountain biking trails and hiking, which we enjoyed.

Randy loved making s'mores with/for Kenadi. We used the marshmallows and the chocolate truffle cookies. They were so good!

Kenadi found these friends in the campsite next to ours. I think it's funny. These people were pure Oklahomans. Notice the 1-year old with a can of Dr. Pepper. He started out the morning with cool-aid.We took a nice walk/hike in the morning. We spent most of the time waiting for Kenadi to put a rock in her pockets, or pick a flower and smell it. It was great to spend this time with my family. I love these moments.

Some pretty wildflowers we found on our hike.

Now for some random pictures. I found Kenadi and Randy coloring together one evening while I was making dinner. I thought this was so cute.

Kenadi loves to rough-house with her Daddy when he's home. She thought it was funny to put her couch on him and "squish" him.I have a really hard time keeping my closet and drawers organized. I found the culprit. She came into our bedroom, shut the door, stripped her clothes off and was trying on all of my shoes and clothes. Here she is going through the clothes to find what she'll try on next. It is funny, cause if she can get it partially on, she then does a dance in front of the wall mirror so she can see how pretty she is. She is actually really good at wearing my high-heels too!

Last but not least... we got our info for our Cancun trip, and I think we are going to try to go in the beg-middle of July. It's pretty quick, but I'm excited! Oh! I almost forgot to tell you that we have been eating zucchini, yellow squash, peas, and beans from our garden all week! It is so good, and we are loving it!

Looks like you've been busy and having fun! While you're sweating there, we're only in the 50's & 60's here. I can't wait for some nice SUNNY weather!

Love the story and Kenadi trying on your clothes. Kids come up with the silliest/cutest/messiest things!
