Happy Anniversary!

Well, for our anniversary (which was yesterday) we went on a family walk to this beautiful rose garden/nature park. It was fun! I haven't been there before, so I didn't know what to expect, and I didn't take the camera. Darn, I wish I could ever remember that! Next time, I guess. It is actually only about a 5 block walk from our house, so that is great. It will be a nice walking destination with Kenadi. We didn't do much yesterday because we are celebrating our anniversary with the trip to Cancun, so were saving up for that. (we are going August 12-15th, and I will NOT forget the camera!) Anyways, I wanted to tell Randy how grateful I am for him, and these wonderful 4 years we've had together. He makes me so happy! I love you honey!

Memory Game

I got this one from a friend's blog, and it looked fun! Leave a comment on my blog of a memory that you and I have had together. It doesn't matter if you've known me for a short time or a long time, anything that you remember! Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It is pretty funny to read the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you are playing and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. On your mark... get set... blog those memories! I'm excited to read what you guys come up with. Oh, and leave out any bad memories, please! =) (hopefully there are none)

Some VISITORS!

We were so excited to have Randy's sister Jolene and her husband David come and visit us this week! We got to have them for a couple of nights and a few days, and it was wonderful. We showed them all over this blessed city, and I think we convinced them to move to Oklahoma! No, just kidding, but I wish someone would move here... Anyways, Kenadi LOVED Jolene and her purse, which was filled with as many kinds of chapstick and lip gloss as you could imagine. Kenadi had a hay day putting on chapstick after chapstick. You should have seen her, our little girly-girl. She kept saying, "I want more chapstick!". Poor Jolene ended up just giving a few of them to Kenadi because they were gored with Kenadi's finger. We did some of our usual activities, played games, went to the memorial, and to Pops. FUN! It made us so happy to have them here. Now Kenadi keeps asking where they went, and we give the sad reply that we do about anyone who comes to visit... "they're bye-bye on an airplane. They went far away...." Thanks Jolene and David for visiting us! (who's coming next?)
It was a HOT day! I think I'm the only one who got sunburnt, though. Next time, I'm going at night.

28 weeks and counting!

Well, a friend told me that I need to have as many pictures of me taken as possible when I'm pregnant... which is kinda hard to do because I have to say, "Randy! Take a picture of me now! I want it this way, and make sure you are this close, and... wait! I wasn't ready!", etc. I don't like to ask for pictures of myself either. I do agree that it is a nice thing to have documentation of for later. So, this is what my photographer came up with! If you can't tell, the photo above was one when I wasn't ready ( I was trying to fix my hair, and I wasn't even facing the camera! What was he doing?) but I thought that it would be good to have a different shot, so I added it.
I would like to point out my pants. They are some gauchos I made, and they are the most comfy thing in the world!

Zucchini Update

Here is a photo to show you what we're going through! This is from one hill of zucchini! There are 2 plants on that hill, so next year, maybe we'll just plant 1! Yesterday Randy found all of these zucchini and there are MORE out there! If you can't tell, I tried to get the front and back of the counter in there so you could judge the size of these things... Jolene was here and suggested setting up a table on the street to sell them. Maybe I will! OR, I could put a sign in our yard... After Randy gets home, of course.

We have to mention the sweet corn too. It is sooo delicious! I honestly think that it could be a dessert because it is so sweet. Kenadi loves it too!

Squash

I am officially tired of zucchini and yellow squash! I seriously can't eat it anymore. So... I pulled out my yellow squash plant (sad, I know, because it was so beautiful and doing so well!) because it was growing over other plants and I needed room for them. I found a huge cucumber, and millions of little ones! We are going to make pickles and hopefully they turn out crunchy. Any good recipes anyone? I also found cute cantaloupe and watermelon growing under there! Bye-bye squash!

Happy Independence Day!

I know, I've been bad lately. I can't think of anything to write lately. Except about our garden and it's wonderful productivity! Thank goodness there was a holiday to talk about!

We had a wonderful 4th! The day started out at the ward breakfast at 8am, then to a parade until noon, a barbecue at some friends house with swimming, boccie ball, and great food (of course!), and fireworks at 9:55 pm. I can tell you that Kenadi was a very grumpy girl by the end of the night. It was a lot, but it was so fun! The bad news is that I forgot my camera for all of these events! The good news is that my dear sister (Haley) sent me her old camera so I have a more reliable one, but I can't seem to remember to take it with me! I just love holidays, though, because that's when we have a whole day with our little family together!
These are pictures from the last weekend. We had a great ward picnic, and I caught Kenadi and Randy climbing the tallest hill in Oklahoma! Well, it is the tallest that I've ever seen here.

Isn't that cute? They held hands and climbed it together, and then they explored. I liked to watch them (so I could take pictures), and then curiosity got the best of me and I climbed it too.
